Overview
Use your phone with confidence: control light and composition, create a portrait and product image, edit a final photograph and finish a short vertical video.
You do not need a new phone or previous experience to make stronger images. This live beginner course turns the camera already in your pocket into a simple creative system you can repeat for everyday memories, social content and small-business communication. The content is approximately 60% photography and 40% video. Choose one practical day at our accessible Brussels studio or two live online evenings with an assignment between sessions. You learn the few phone settings that matter, how to find better light, where to place a subject, how to compose without clutter and how to keep a short video steady and understandable. Every explanation is followed by a practical exercise, individual feedback and a chance to try again. You will complete a correctly exposed portrait, a product or food photograph, one edited final image and one short vertical video. You will also receive a personal shooting checklist, the course handbook, exercise files and a resource list. English and Arabic cohorts are taught separately. No account is required to enrol.

Do I need an expensive or recent phone?
No. Any recent iPhone or Android phone with a working camera is suitable. The course focuses on choices that transfer between phone models.
Is this photography only?
No. The course is approximately 60% photography and 40% short-form video, with practical portrait, product, editing and vertical-video exercises.
Which editing apps are used?
We demonstrate native phone tools, the free version of Lightroom Mobile and the free version of CapCut. Paid subscriptions are not required.
Can I attend online?
Yes. Online cohorts run as two live, interactive evenings from 18:30 to 21:30, with a practical assignment between sessions. They are not prerecorded.
Which language is used?
English and Arabic are offered as separate sessions so the whole group can learn and ask questions comfortably in one teaching language.
