Two days in Brussels with Mohammed Lubbad to build a defensible wedding-film system, from brief and shotlist to a same-day teaser, so you can credibly raise your tariff.
Wedding film is one of the most unforgiving disciplines in commercial video. There is no second take of the vows, the light shifts every twenty minutes, the schedule slips, and the family expects you to be invisible while still capturing the only frames that will exist of that day forever. This intensive is built around the system Lubbad Production actually uses on paid wedding shoots in Brussels, Flanders, and Wallonia, not a generic YouTube workflow, not a film-school exercise. Day one runs inside our Rue Delaunoy studio in Molenbeek. You arrive at 09:00, set up your own camera body on our gear cage, and we walk you through the full pre-production system: how we read a couple's brief and translate it into a defensible shotlist, how we structure the day around the four anchor moments (preparation, ceremony, golden hour portraits, reception), how we plan audio redundancy for the vows, and how we move two operators without doubling coverage. By the end of day one you will have a printed shotlist template, a venue-recon checklist, an audio failover plan, and a backup-and-handoff workflow you can apply on Monday morning. Day two is a supervised wedding-style shoot at a partnered Brussels venue, capped at eight participants so every camera gets corrected in real time. You shoot a staged ceremony, couple portraits, and reception coverage against a working timeline with two stand-in couples. Mohammed shadows each operator through at least one full sequence, calling adjustments on framing, exposure, audio, and movement. Lunch is a working ingest session where you start a same-day teaser edit on your own machine using our project template. By 18:00 you deliver a 60–90 second teaser cut from the day's footage, color-corrected, music-cleared for showreel use, and rendered to a deliverable spec, the exact artefact you can hand to a couple's family chat the night of their wedding. Capacity is hard-capped at eight seats. This is not a passive observation workshop; you bring your own camera, shoot, get corrected, and walk out with a system, not slides. FAQ
I shoot weddings already but I have never delivered a same-day teaser. Will I keep up?
Yes, the intensive is built for working wedding videographers who shoot but have not yet built a same-day system. The DaVinci Resolve project template we supply on day two does 90 minutes of setup work for you, so the teaser edit is achievable in the one-hour window even on your first attempt.
I shoot weddings on Sony, my second shooter is on Canon. Is that a problem?
No. Lubbad shoots multi-brand rigs ourselves. Day two coverage is built around lens choice and operator role, not brand. The DaVinci colour template includes nodes for the most common Sony, Canon, and Fujifilm picture profiles, and Mohammed will set yours up at lunch.
Capacity is eight seats. How is per-camera correction actually delivered?
Day one is paired exercises, Mohammed rotates between four pairs, with each pair getting roughly 30 minutes of direct correction. Day two has a rolling debrief at the back of the venue where every operator is pulled aside between coverage beats for a private review. Every camera is reviewed during the playback debriefs after each major segment.
I am a wedding photographer expanding into video. Should I attend?
Yes, with one caveat, you need to be confident shooting your camera in manual video mode (exposure, white balance, picture profile) before day one. If you have shot any video on a client wedding in the last 18 months you will be fine. If you have only shot stills, do a half-day of video practice on your own camera first.
What if the dates conflict with my own bookings?
Join the waitlist anyway. We confirm Brussels dates twice a year and waitlist members are notified 6–8 weeks in advance with first refusal on seats before public release. You can decline a cohort and stay on the list for the next one.
Is the same-day teaser actually usable commercially?
Yes. You shoot the footage with your own camera, the music is licensed for showreel use through accounts we walk you through (Musicbed and Artlist), and the stand-in couples sign a model release that permits commercial portfolio use by participants. The teaser is your asset to publish.
